Wall Street Raider is distributed freely as a shareware program. While the shareware version has most of the functionality of the registered version(s), games are limited to 2 "years" of play, compared to 35 "years" in the registered version. Also, in the shareware version, several features are not enabled: Stock charts for individual stocks, short selling of stocks, put and call options trading, and speculating with interest rate "swap" derivatives. You will need to order a registered version to enjoy those features.

(By the way, there are no "registration codes" to unlock the sharware version. When you register, you are sent a download link for a full copy of the latest registered version of the software, which is a larger .EXE program, different from the shareware versions.)

(That is not going well, so far, since we have such a low volume of sales.) Thus, effective January 1, 2025, we will no longer be using that e-commerce company to process payments for Wall Street Raider (or Speculator), since they have continued to sell our copyrighted software and keep all the proceeds.

Instead, effective January 1, 2025 we are temporarily only taking orders paid directly, by either a check drawn on a U.S. bank, in U.S. dollars, or in U.S. currency. NOTE REGARDING REAL COMPANY NAMES: The shareware version of W$R you may have been playing up until now does not utilize real company names, unlike the registered version.

NOTE REGARDING SALES AND USE TAXES. Most states that have sales taxes now ask you on your state income tax return to pay any use tax you owe on out-of-state purchases, more or less on the "honor system." We are only required to collect sales tax from purchasers in Utah, because we do not have annual sales of over $100,000 in any one state (or in total!). If you are a Utah resident, please include applicable Utah sales tax, which can range from 6.35% to 8.25%, generally, depending on your location.
